After a scenic drive of approximately 1.5 hours, we reach the harbour of the Green Canyon, located near the Oymapınar Dam – the fifth-largest dam in Turkey and the only one where boat tours are permitted. As you step aboard the two-deck boat, you'll already notice the fresh mountain air and the serene atmosphere of this hidden gem. The boat departs around 10:00 a.m., embarking on a 14-kilometre cruise through the breathtaking Green Canyon. Surrounded by steep cliffs, lush forests, and the calm, turquoise waters of the reservoir, you'll enjoy spectacular views and endless photo opportunities. About an hour into the journey, we'll anchor for a refreshing 30-minute swim break in the lake, where the water maintains a pleasant temperature of around 20°C – perfect for cooling off. Following the swim, we continue exploring more of the canyon and then head to a lakeside restaurant where a delicious lunch is served.
