Salda Lake and Pamukkale Tour Information

The Salda Lake and Pamukkale Tour is a full-day excursion that combines a visit to Pamukkale with a 60-minute stop at the breathtaking Salda Lake. The tour begins at 4:30 AM due to the 310 km distance between Side and Pamukkale. After departing from your hotel, we head through the Manavgat region toward our first destination. A breakfast stop is included along the way.

Upon arrival at Salda Lake, you will have 90 minutes to swim and explore this spectacular natural wonder. The lake’s pristine turquoise waters and stunning scenery are sure to captivate you. The water and mud here are believed to have healing properties, and even more fascinating is the fact that the lake’s mineral composition closely resembles that of lakes found on Mars!

After a relaxing pause, we will proceed to Denizli, where you can delight in a lunch featuring an open buffet. Afterwards, a short drive takes us to Pamukkale. Once there, you will have three hours to discover its magic. Your visit will include the ancient city of Hierapolis, the Cleopatra Pool, and the famous white travertine terraces and thermal springs of Pamukkale.

After this extensive exploration, we return to Denizli for an open buffet dinner featuring two main courses: pasta, soup, rice, and a selection of 12 different salads. Finally, we journey back to Side, ensuring a comfortable drop-off at your hotel.

The price of the tour covers hotel pick-up and drop-off, as well as lunch and dinner, transportation in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus, entry fees for Pamukkale, Hierapolis, and Salda Lake, as well as travel insurance and the services of a professional guide.

Salda Lake - The Turkish Maldives

Salda Lake is a secluded gem on the route from Side to Pamukkale. This lesser-known paradise boasts breathtaking scenery, often compared to the Maldives. The lake's stunning turquoise waters are surrounded by pristine white dunes, creating an almost untouched and serene atmosphere. Recognized as one of the cleanest lakes in the world, Salda's hydromagnesite-rich waters are believed to offer therapeutic benefits for various skin conditions and promote healthy hair. You'll undoubtedly cherish the time spent here and may wish to stay even longer in this extraordinary setting.

Pamukkale Travertines & Hierapolis Ancient City

Pamukkale was officially designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Its creamy-white travertine terraces, often called Turkey's 'Cotton Castle,' are natural calcium carbonate formations, exuding an ancient and mystical charm. Walking along these terraces and soaking in the thermal springs is a truly enchanting experience. Nearby, the ancient city of Hierapolis offers a glimpse into history, with well-preserved remnants of the Pergamon Kingdom dating back over 2,000 years. As you explore its pools, streets, and temples, you'll step back in time and gain insight into the way of life of ancient civilizations.

Cleopatra's Pool

The Cleopatra Pool, sometimes called the Ancient Pool of Pamukkale, is one of the region's most fascinating attractions. Its healing and soothing thermal waters maintain an ideal temperature of 37°C, providing a truly relaxing experience. Legend has it that Queen Cleopatra of Egypt had a deep affection for this pool and would often come to visit it. So why not indulge in the same royal treatment?
