This full-day tour offers you the chance to discover two of Turkey’s most iconic destinations—Pamukkale and Salda Lake. Due to the approximately 371 km distance between Alanya and Pamukkale, the tour starts early in the morning, around 3:30 AM. After hotel pick-up, we set off through the Alanya region with a breakfast stop included along the way. Our first destination is Salda Lake, where you’ll enjoy 90 minutes of swimming and exploring this stunning natural site, often referred to as the “Turkish Maldives.” The lake’s crystal-clear turquoise water and white sandy shores will leave you mesmerized. The mineral-rich waters and mud are believed to have therapeutic benefits, and Salda’s unique composition is even said to resemble that of lakes on Mars. We will continue to Denizli for a delicious open buffet lunch. After lunch, a brief drive will take us to Pamukkale, where you will have three hours to experience the highlights of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll across the snow-white travertine terraces, visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, and, if you wish, take a dip in Cleopatra’s Pool, known for its thermal healing waters. After this enriching visit, we return to Denizli for a buffet dinner featuring two main dishes: soup, pasta, rice, and a wide variety of salads. Finally, we will head back to Alanya and drop you off at your hotel comfortably. Salda Lake and Pamukkale Tour from Alanya price includes pick-up and drop-off from your hotel, round-trip rides in a comfy air-conditioned bus, breakfast and dinner, tickets to Salda Lake, Pamukkale, and Hierapolis, travel insurance, and a professional tour guide to show you around.
Tucked away along the route from Alanya to Pamukkale, Salda Lake is a breathtaking natural wonder often referred to as the "Turkish Maldives." With its striking turquoise waters framed by soft white sands and untouched landscapes, the lake offers a peaceful and almost surreal escape from the ordinary. Recognized as one of the cleanest lakes in the world, its hydromagnesite-rich waters are believed to have healing effects on skin conditions and even promote healthy hair. Time spent at Salda is often the highlight of the day—so much so, you may find yourself wishing to linger in this tranquil haven.
Pamukkale, officially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988, is one of Turkey’s most iconic natural and historical landmarks. Its dazzling white travertine terraces—formed by mineral-rich thermal waters over thousands of years—have earned it the nickname “Cotton Castle.” Walking barefoot along these terraces and soaking in the warm, healing pools is an unforgettable experience. Just steps away lies the ancient city of Hierapolis, once a thriving spa settlement founded during the Kingdom of Pergamon over two millennia ago. While exploring its ancient streets, temples, and baths, you will journey back in time and gain a greater appreciation for the region's rich cultural heritage.
Also known as the Ancient Pool of Pamukkale, Cleopatra’s Pool is one of the region’s most enchanting highlights. Its naturally heated thermal waters remain at a soothing 37°C year-round, offering visitors a deeply relaxing experience. According to legend, Queen Cleopatra herself was captivated by the pool’s beauty and healing properties, often bathing there during her visits. You can now experience the same refreshing soak that was once only for royalty.
